At the same time, the polyethylene comes from reputable manufacturers, and its main „eco-friendly” property is that it does not release any toxic solvents. The formulation of WPC profiles does not allow for the use of any type of plastic other than the best blend with pure polyethylene. The type of plastic used in „wood-plastic composite” plays an extremely important role in the long-term performance of WPC profiles and controls expansion and contraction during seasonal changes. Conventional products contain polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or polypropylene, which causes the material to become stiff at low temperatures, brittle, and prone to breaking when subjected to mechanical impact.
